I laughed out loud when I read this because it would be me if I got that far back. You know you are addicted to genealogy when you trace your ancesstors back to Adam and Eve and you still want to keep going. Oh how trueeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. lol. Have a great day. MISS ROBIN

Hi everyone - I love reading the posts and seeing that I'm not at all unusual!! So great to be a normal geneaholic!! You know you're a geneaholic when you do the genealogy happy dance when you find another generation of ancestors in your ex-husband's family lines!! - it's for the kids, of course... I just love to research and dig and find and ... But I'm sooo far away from where my ancestors lived and no likelihood of travelling there now, so the internet and the local libraries plus genealogy societies are my only way to research. It would be so lovely to go see those old cemeteries in Maine, PA, CT, and NY. Cheers - Celia

Got what I wanted for Christmas - a really expensive Cemetery Disc, and another one, not so dear, but just as good, can't wait for the postperson to bring it to me. Hanging out here, why do they have to have public holidays and eek out the waiting, waiting waiting...

Hi I think one of my greatest finds was on my great grandmother Ellen Harrington Lawlor we were told she had 7 sons one who was my grandfather George but through my research I found out that there were 4 more children that died young 1 a daughter and another son still working on the other two.

Its sad when you can't even find the people you know existed in a genealogy search.

MY COOLEST GENEALOGY FIND WAS FINDING TWO FOLD BUT RELATED AREA. AFTER YEARS OF GOING BATTY... YES I BLANE GENEALOGY... I FOUND MY GRANDFATHER JAMES TIRELLA ON THE ELLIS INLAND PASSINGER LIST. HE WENT THRU IN JUNE 1892 AT 10 YEARS OLD ALONG WITH SIBBINGS. I WAS SOOOOOOOOOO EXCITED. AND I WAS SO HAPPY TO GIVE THIS TO MY MOM. FINDING THE SHIP WAS A MAJOR PAIN BUT SO WORTH IT. AS IT TURNED OUT THE REASON IT WAS SO HARD TO FIND IS BECAUSE IT MADE ONLY ONE TRIP UNDER THE NAME THE SS ARNO... CHANGED NAMES BEFORE AND AFTER THE TRIP. BUT FIND IT I DID. IT WAS MY JOY TO FRAME AND PERSENT THE PICTURE OF THE SHIP THAT TOOK MY ITALIAN GRANDFATHER TO ELLIS ISLAND AND THE NEW JERSESY. I DONT THINK I WILL EVER HAVE A MORE AWESOME MONENT IN MY GENEALOGICAL LIFE
