Hello Pamela! I just learned that Mary Ann's brother, Robert Bishop & family, was in Canada according to the 1830/31 Census of Montreal. As his youngest child was born in 1826 in Howden that means they immigrated between 1826 and 1830.
When did John and Mary Ann arrive in Australia?

So far, I haven't been able to find my Holmes beginning. The first record I have is for Samuel Oliver Holmes, born in Utah 1845-1852(headstone says 1845, records show 1852. He died and is buried in Oakland California.
