I am looking for the ancestors of Thomas Jordan Holland, b. 1811 in Halifax Co., NC.  He married Elizabeth Worrell, who was the mother of George Washington Holland & Joseph J. Holland.  After her death, he married Eliza Madry & moved with his family to Graves Co., KY by way of TN, arriving before 1850.  Anyone knowing of this man please contact me here or at suehmosser@yahoo.com.

Hi Melanie, my g-grandmother was Mary Holland, from Abbeymahone, Timoleague, Cork and I have a lot on her branch of the Hollands if you'd like to compare :)

Hi Carole H, my Holland family are also from Portsea area, one member I have traced so far is Gertrude Holland born 1892, both her father & grandfather were James Holland, the elder James born 1825, though I think he may have been originally from Tiverton in Devon.

Hi!  My maiden name is Melanie Holland.  I am descended from John Holland, who was born in Ireland--I'm thinking County Cork, but I'm not sure--in 1829.  Upon arrival in upstate NY, he married a local girl named Fanny Ellis.  If anyone has any information, I would appreciate it.

Hello,
My grandmother was Emma Catherine Holland, b. 14 Jan. 1883 in Hilliards, Washington Twp., Butler County, Pennsylvania. She was one of four children of William Chrisostian Holland and Della Marie (Todd) Holland. William was one of 14 children of William Holland and Catherine Murrin. This senior William was born in 1816, in Hilliards, PA. He was a lawyer and was called Squire Holland. This William was the son of John Holland and his wife, Susan (Kuhn) Holland. John was born in 1791 in Pennsylvania, and died in 1833 in PA according to my grandmother's records. I have very little information about John and Susan. William is the only child I have listed, but it would have been very unusual in those years for a family to have only one child. I am looking for information about John and Susan Holland and their family.
