Hi Folks...new member!

Researching the Holland Family of Bedford and Franklin Counties in Virginia.  The task is to prove lineal relationship between Peter Holland (~1740-7185) and Bathsheba Holland his daughter (1765-1830).  Peter Holland had a total of 10 offspring according the published work Holland 1988 by Jeannette Holland Austen.  However the publication mentions no source material to substantiate the relation.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Inez Holland; my paternal grandmother is said to have been born 05 August 1906; received Social Security number 455-40-7894, which corresponds to Texas; and died May 1974. I want to confirm her parents. I'm not sure I have them correct. Her other name is Exy or Exa. She was a teacher from Sam Houston Teacher's College & married Edward Alvin Thigpen, also from there; a superintendent of schools// Huntsville / Wise County / Cleveland

I am looking for the ancestors of Thomas Jordan Holland, b. 1811 in Halifax Co., NC.  He married Elizabeth Worrell, who was the mother of George Washington Holland & Joseph J. Holland.  After her death, he married Eliza Madry & moved with his family to Graves Co., KY by way of TN, arriving before 1850.  Anyone knowing of this man please contact me here or at suehmosser@yahoo.com.

Hi Carole H, my Holland family are also from Portsea area, one member I have traced so far is Gertrude Holland born 1892, both her father & grandfather were James Holland, the elder James born 1825, though I think he may have been originally from Tiverton in Devon.
