Our Hodges families are certainly elusive!  My earliest location is Pittsylvania County.  My Beverly Hodges married Mary R. White.  By 1850, they are in LaRue County, Kentucky -- then on to Independence County, Arkansas by 1860.

Daniel Hodges, age 28, is on the 1850 census in Woolsey, Escambia County, Florida. He is in the household with three other young men, Saul Hodges, age 23, born Alabama; H. Overstreet, 21, born Alabama; John Gully, 29, born Alabama; and Rich Hartsfield, 21, born North Carolina, no occupation given.
After this Daniel's life is an open book. He married first Mary ? and had a daughter, my great grandmother, Mary Alice. He married second Frances Wofford and had 7 other children.
I am searching for Daniel Hodges' parents.
