My previous comment about John's father went by Arch D Hill should have been stated John's brother Archibald B. Hill Jr. went by Arch D Hill.

My grandma was Rebecca Hill dau. of John Hill who m'd Roxie Helton.  I have found that Archibald B. Hill, John's father went by Arch D Hill and wonder if anyone knows why he changed his middle name and if he just used an initial or make a name to go with the D.

my Grandpa was Arch Buchanan Hill who md Iva Fay Mantle and Ethel.
his father was John Hill who md Roxie Helton.
his father was Archibald Buchanan Hill who md Rhoda Salyer.
his father was Wm. Hill who md Lucinda Tucker. Wm was in the Civil War, on the Confederacy side. I don't know who his parents were.

I'm not a direct descedants, but I have a Emily Hill. Emily married John Cain on 28th Aug. 1825 in Chariton County, Missouri. John Cain was my 4th great grandfather. I would like to know her parnets were and where she died at.
