Some members of the Haskin (Haskins) family settled in the Rideau Lakes area

of Southern Ontario after the American Revolution.

They came, I think from somewhere in New England, probably Connecticut or

Vermont.

I am descended from Lemuel Haskins and Betsy Stevens.

Lemuel built the first mill in the district.

Their daughter Flora married Evan Manuel and I am descended from them

Any information about the family's English origins would be greatly appreicated.
