Hi all,

Looking for info on A. Harris (might be Alexander). There may be more info out there on Thomas C. Harris, born in 1798 in Tennessee, married Mary McMurtry in 1820 in Washington Co. Missouri....They had 9 children.....Narcisses Clementine in 1827, John in 1826, James C. in 1828, L.E. Erasmus in 1830, William in 1834, Martha Jane in 1836 or 1828, Thomas Jr. 1838 or 1820, Moses O. in 1840 and Patton in 1842....My line is the L.E. Erasmus Harris line...

I am seeking information on Fred Harris b. 1835 Alabama.  Fred married Lou Harris b. 1845 Alabama.  Fred's parents were from North or South Carolina.  Fred and Lou had six children:  Henry Harris, Callie Harris, Sallie Harris, Bossie Harris, Mamie Harris and Pumpsey Harris.  Mamie Harris is my Great Great Grandmother.  I would like to know the names of Fred and Lou's parents as well as Lou's maiden name.  I would also like to know what plantation in Alabama that Fred and Lou were slaves on.  Any information will be appreciated.  Thanks.

I am seeking information on Henry H. Harris, born 1865 Darlington Co, SC: died 10 Apr 1935, buried at the Cypress Cemetery, Cypress Crossroads, Lee County, South Carolina.  His mother was Amanda Jackson.  I believe his father was Henry Harris, a slave owner.  Amanda Jackson was one of his slaves.

I am trying to find the slave owner, Henry Harris, in a cemetery, or a death record, or something else about him.  I'm trying to get behind that Harris line.

Does anyone have access to Darlington and Lee County, SC records?

I am seeking descendants of Peter Harris and Cindia Harris.   In Brunswick County VA around 1900.  Their children were: Joseph, Maude, Junius, Ned, James, Henrietta, Bessie, Carrie, Rosa, Ruth, Sydnor, and Polly.  Peter died in 1916 from an injury. They are both buried in the Good Hope Baptist Church cemetery in the Blackridge area of Brunswick County.  Junius was my father.

In the early 1950's at Whitaker Elementary School, Winston-Salem, N.C., my fellow classmate was Nicky Harris; with the shocking death of his father, I came to know the difficulties that he (and another sibling I think), and his mother had lived under. With my enlightenment, my heart then went out to Nicky and his mother.  It's true over the last half century, I might not think of Nicky and his once situation each year, but there also have been many years, I have remembered. If anyone by slight chance knows Nicky Harris, tell him his once classmate Jim (also known as Al) Miller has not forgotten (now of Southport, N.C.) and hopes he and his mom are healthy, healed survivors.

Can anyone help? I am researching my Harris line from Surry county nc.My dad was born in lambsburg va his dad was Hiram archie Harris,Hirams dad was really alexander moody but he took his mothers name she was matilda Harris.Her dad was Mack Harris he married a nancy caudle.They moved back to Surry county around 1928 I think.I would like to find out where this line of harris came from.

Hello everyone.I have been very busy lately and had to set aside my research for a bit.I am working to get caught back up and here is where I am now...I have confirmed that Thomas B Harris born Jan 10,1864-died Feb 10,1948 Allen Co Ky,is in fact my great grandfather.I have ordered and recieved his death certificate.It states his mother was Henrietta Dowell.The only Henrietta I have found in the area was married to a Alex Watkins and an Anderson Andrew Graves.There is in census records a Thomas B Watkins and also a Thomas B Graves both in the home with Henrietta when she was married to each man.Birth dates are either the same or very close.My issue is,are the Thomas B Watkins,Graves,and Harris the same person.I could really use some help sorting this all out...Thanks Yawl

Looking for descendant of c1800 Ephraim Drake Harris' (of Cabarrus Co., N.C., near Mt. Pleasant area) . Who was his wife; who were all their children and spouses? Daughter Mrs. Ann Barbara Harris Miller wed German/Prussian born (mother was a Haro?) John "Henry" Miller and had Miss Nancy Miller, and Mrs. Caroline Miller Ridenhour, wife of Aaron Ridenhour, removed to Illinois. Widowed, Henry Miller wed Mrs. Emilia "Milly" Fisher Sossaman, widow of Pvt. John Sossaman (War of 1812), and daughter of Capt. Frederick Fisher, and first wife Sybila (2nd Ann McBride). Milly had Frederick Haro Miller to the Republic of Texas, Samuel D. Miller, fate unknown, Alexander Monroe "Sandy" Miller, briefly to Rowan Co., N.C., thence Illinois, and my John Cyrus Miller (1811-1893), wed Sophie Propst, Mrs. Mary Ann Barringer Redwine (widow of Pleasant Redwine), and Mary Ann C. Swicegood; to Rowan Co., N.C., Franklin (old Zeb) area. He had three sons by Louisa "Lou" Nash. James Alfred Locke Miller, Jr., Southport, N.C.

I am John David Harris from Gretna, Virginis. I am looking for information on William Brace Harris, who was born about 1846 at or near Rowan, NC. He later moved to Va.

Does anyone know anything about Harris from Dames Point, Mayort, Fla.
My grandfather was Frances E Harris m. Maggie Mcdowell. I'm researching Harris, Mcdowell, Cason and Jones from this area. Thank you, Doris Direnzo
