Hi all.
Have just joined in the hope of finding more information regarding my family links.
I am most interested in the Gunter name..a very interesting family line.
My link comes via my great grandmother on my mothers side Minnie Matilda May Gunter b.1899 in Tadley, Hampshire. Possibly, Baughurst. The line comes via the Gunters of Aldermaston, Berkshire. This then links back to Kintbury and then back to Wales, where the family seat for some 500+ years was Tregunter in the Brecons.
On my fathers side...The links go via Portsmouth to, as it appears, Liverpool. With the those concerned being in the Navy. My grandfather, great grandfather, great great grandfather..all appear to of been in the Navy. Though my father was in the Army.

I have Gunters from Aldermaston in general several of whom linked in with families who also married into my Sellwoods.

No - Elizabeth remained a widow and lived on Brimpton Common where she was described as a pauper. She died in 1878 and was buried at Brimpton.

My interest is through Richard GUNTER (1776 - 1830) & Elizabeth HUGHES (1783). Then back to William & Sybilla. Delete Comment
