Hi Linda.  Welcome to the list.  You can set up your profile such that you are e-mailed whenever someone adds a comment to your e-mail, and again if anyone adds a comment on the "wall".  Personally, I monitor both just in case I miss something.

I am related to Joseph Grey and Hannah Bright, married in Mason Co., KY 1796. There may have been a move to Illinois or Indiana a few years later. He was born in NC and she may have been born in England.

I do not find any other information on this couple, any help would be appreciated.

Cheers, Beth

My GGGrandfather Robert George Gray, born London (via Marriage certificate) or Cape of Good Hope (death certificate).

Robert married Jane Graham Sinfield in registered in the Molong NSW district. Robert and Jane were known to have lived in the Baldry and Obley (Molong district) in NSW Australia.

Via the NSW BDM site, Robert and Jane had 6 children (George, Daniel, George, Alfred, Ernest and Duncan).

Robert died in Peak Hill NSW in 1903 and Jane in 1933 in Peak Hill.

Robert's son Daniel Malcolm is my GGrandfather who married Emily Kerdavid (Emma) in Parkes NSW 1898.

My mystery and frustration is both the arrival of Robert George Gray and his actual place of birth.  If anyone could assist me in this I would be eternally grateful.

My earliest Gray is a Thomas (1783-1864), my 3rd great grandfather, who lived in Butler and Darke counties Ohio but was born in Pa.  His wife was Sarah White.  His father may have been Joseph, but is not confirmed. Thomas had a son, Daniel S., who moved to Madison county, Iowa, and married Ann Eliza Starbuck..  I'm looking for any additional detail or ancestors to these.

Looking for parents of Simeon Gray, b NY State, d 31 Oct 1857 in Lanark, Portage, Wisconsin. He was married to an Elizabeth (?) who was b abt 1817 in Connecticut. Their children were: (1) Simeon Church Gray, b 29 May 1840, NY & d 16 Apr 1921, Culver, Ottawa, Kansas; (2) Francis Courtney Gray, b abt 1846, NY; (3) Lucy A. Gray, b abt 1851, NY. DNA tests reveal that Simeon's earliest American ancestor is Edward Gray of Plymouth, Massachusetts, who was originally from Stapleford-Tawney, England. They are haplogroup R1b1b2.
