I actively research the family of John and Susan Graves, through their daughter, Nancy Ann GRAVES Perkins, and her brother, Benjamin GRAVES. Nancy Ann Graves Perkins resided in Washington County, Tennessee until her death in 1841. Her year of birth is about 1760. Benjamin Graves lived in Monroe County, Tennessee until his death on 26 December 1856. Both were born in South Carolina.

My Thomas Graves was born about 1797. He enlisted from Deerfield, NY in the War of 1812 in 1813 and served about a year. He was discharged at Sacketts Harbor and walked home, probably near Deerfield unk.
He married Mariah S. ( ), She died 1842 and is buried in St Matthew's churchyard, Unadilla, Otsego co., NY. He then married Olive Owens in 1843. They lived in Unadilla according to tax rolls. He died in 1865 in Sidney, Delaware co., NY and is buried in St Matthew's also. Need parents and siblings.

I can trace my Graves ancestors back to Betsy Graves born 1830 in Maine. She married Joseph Pooler 15 Sep 1849 in Skowegan, maine and is buried in the Pooler grave yard in Skowhegan. Betsy and William Graves are also buried there and may be her parents but I have no proof, no birth certificate, no christening or baptism, and the parents are not IDed on the marriage.
