My Grant's appear to go back to Angus Grant in Abernethy in 1742 but I only have proofs for the line back to William Grant born in 1831 in Abernethy. He died 22 Nov 1903 and is buried at Newhills Aberdeenshire. William had 2 wives 1 Margaret Minto from Kincardineshire and Isabella Keith fom Aberdeenshire.

My Great Grandmother was Helen Grant from Altachern in Abernethy & Kincardine. She was born in 1812 to Janet Gillies & James Grant. I have no record of their marriage. Helen married Robert Stuart in 1834 in Cults, Kirkmichael, Banffshire. Robert b 1796 was the son of Donald Stuart & Margaret? Donald & Margaret had 9 children, two of them married McPhersons. The family lived on a farm called Fodderletter which is 3 miles from Tomintoul. Robert's family & his brother Alexander's family left Scotland and went to Canada and later to Clinton County Iowa. Sorry I don't have DNA. Does any of this match your Grant's?
