Downsides: Grouping & Sorting
In the THINGS you wish GenealogyWise could do discussion I've seen several people ask for the ability to apply grouping or sorting to their friends or to their groups.
Sorry. For anything I've ever encountered on a Ning social network, this is not a capability.
That's not to say it is not a needed function, I think it is. But that's going to need to be taken up with Ning, its not something the GW admins can just turn on.
If you have information indicating otherwise, I would be happy to eat my words and update this post.

I am not a Ning expert. I'm a tech-head who has worked in IT for over 10 years; and I have some experience on another Ning network.
