Nelson Foster Born in Vt.

Nelson Foster was born approx. 1809 and was born in Vt. according to census records. He was found in NY after he married and then he moved his family to Wisconsin. I can not find his parents names. On census it says his parents were from England. I believe they may have come through Canada. Anyone have any info?
