Purchase on March 28, 2011 at 3:35pm My 2 great-grandmother was Margareth "Margaret" Fischer who was born in Rheinbaier, Bavaria?, Germany, b. calculates as 9 Jan 1823 d. 31 Mar. 1898. She married Joseph Schneider in Columbus, Ohio 10 Nov 1844 and they had five children: Joseph Peter b. 1846, Katharine/Catherine 1847, Anthony 1849/50 d. 1860, Margaret "Mary" b. 1852 and Mary Josephina "Feenie/Feeney b. 1855 Schneider. Joseph owned an inn (The Washington House/Hotel) and tavern (The Robert Plum/Blum) in Columbus, Franklin Co. Ohio. His son, my great grandfather, Joseph Peter baked for the inn and tavern and for his troop in the Civil War. He ended up working in a bakery in Marion, Marion Ct., Ohio.
