Betty, only thing you can do is use Edit@findagrave.com Tell them your problems, 30 day waiting time.

Dear Addicts--Does anyone have experience with dealing with a cemetery that is being impossible? I'm in Florida. A large cemetery here will no longer provide volunteers with gravesite locations. They force the person requesting the photo to call the office to get the location to give to the FAG volunteer. They've recently banned photo taking in the cemetery. It's a private cemetery; however, the people requesting that the volunteer take the photos are related to the people buried in the graves. This situation has been going on for about a year now. It's getting worse and it's escalating. Volunteers are zipping into the cemetery early in the morning to do a few photos and get out undetected. Can anyone offer advice?

Betty, It sounds like you are talking about other findagrave users. When you fail to get satisfaction from them, that is the time to go to the administrators with your situation. One method is by using the forum that we were talking about. Especially for cemetery corrections. You get better service [I think] sending your corrections through the forum. I have used it several times when people add duplicate cemeteries.

I have tried for four months to get some corrections made on some of my relatives that was posted in correctly. I have sent them the information and the memorial numbers to link them to the parents but so far nothing. They claim they are not interested in seeing how many memorials they can post but going through the local genealogy book it proves they have gone down the pages and posted exactly the way they are listed in the book. I have even asked to have them transferred to me and I will make the links and corrections, but nothing. I have been a member of F-A-G since 2008 and I do not have a problem about transferring a memorial if I am asked. Any suggestions other than reposting.

Also what can you do about someone who has posted several of the same ancestors you did (mine was posted with pictures of headstones and full information) in 2008 and hers was in 2012 with no pictures. I have asked her very nicely to remove hers but so far I have heard nothing from her and it has been two months. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Liv - Give them a little more time - 2 to 4 weeks.  I haven't had to contact them lately but they were doing quite well a few months ago.  Much better than when we had to go through the forums.  You might check out the forums - maybe they have new procedures, that I am unaware of. Gerry

I didn't know I could do that Bob, thanks for the tip, I shall try it.

Theresa, Why wouldn't you simply click the "request a photo" button to get the photos that you need in Harlan County, KY?

Earlier I ask if anyone was near or in Harlan Co., forgot to say the state!  Sorry, Its in Kentucky.  Thanks Michael Kibel for bringing it to my attention.
