Hey Stephen, there is a Harrell's Cemetery in Blount Co, Alabama listed on Findagrave. Here's the link: http://goo.gl/A8VBN

I have been doing research on multiple families located in Tipton County Tennessee.  In my attempt to untangle the Simonton and McCain families, I find that one of the sons of William Simonton and Mary McDill died in Alabama.  A record on Ancestry indicated that Christopher Simonton (1825-1864) is buried at Harrell's Cross Roads ARP Cemetery in Alabama.    I cannot find a cemetery that bears that name and the person who listed it on Ancestry did not provide a county location.   I have messaged the ARP Church offices in South Carolina for  verification of this cemetery, but i thought that i would place a comment here to see if anyone on this list knows of this cemetery.  FindAGrave has been so useful in helping me to straighten out many of my families and i'm sure one of you can  assist me with this request.   Thanks.

Agreed, Eric.  Time to lighten up and there are other things to discuss other than just straight genealogy at times.  It is important that people know about such information and you are doing a service to others that might get stuck into a similar situation.  It IS a genealogy problem that could affect a lot of us.  Amen.

For those of you that are fellow find a grave addicts- here is another group that will help you with your personal genealogy, you ask to join and then when you are allowed in you give them the surnames you are looking for. Also i am the brick wall Coordinator- so if you have ran into a brick wall i am the one you send your information to. The group email is this ancestorhunters@yahoo.com

Also for the cemeteries in my corner of Ks- here are some heads up- in Norton city cemetery- their is a sexton that is available during the week. There is also a web page thru our local genealogical society that tells you where to find this person's stone you are looking for.also we have about all of the cemeteries listed on our web site.

For Phillipsburg's Fairview cemetery- there's is under the City Clerk for the City of Phillipsburg.

The same for Stockton,Ks  the city cemetery is under the City Clerk, its the same for Plainville,Ks

For the one under Palco- there is a directory-and a sexton- but you have to call of an evening to get him

The city cemetery in Osborne,Ks - the man at the genealogical society can be found at the city library.

Hope this helps, Cynthia Kindall-Norton,Ks

Sorry, I think talking about FindAGrave's problems IS talking about genealogy. That site has lots of problems and we haven't even scratched to topic of erroneous information or stolen copyrighted information and media. I lot of people rely on information there that is incorrect. I realize that's the case for any site, but I think it's important to discuss it so people know about it. It's important for people to know that they are not treating people well there, right and left and a lot of memorials, that we count on for information, are being deleted at management's whim.

I agree Ross,.most of us are looking for help in our genealogy. Does it matter what our politics are if we are here to help one another?

Eric, those ad banners have a certain type of coding thats unique to them. the ad blocker seeks that coding. it has made mistakes now and then, but certain ones you can "train"
