Comment by Michael Helmantoler on April 7, 2011 at 2:36pm We are still functioning, but there are so many forums, wiki' and blogs hosted on the Familysearch.org domain that we don't get much attention.
There are many Family search subdomains beyond that which you mentioned. There will be new ones that some communities will know about because they are volunteering to help build the data. The last I heard on "new" family search which is located at https://new.familysearch.org is that it will appear as a Family Tree tab for users with LDS related data.
There is a "new" family search released every three months so stay tuned.
