But as far as I understand it, Familysearch is a product of the LDS Church. I can understand there is a religious imperative for them to record baptisms and marriages ...so that explains the IGI. But can anyone explain what drives the LDS Church to provide all these additional free genealogical resources - libraries, census transcripts, new extended Familysearch Beta, Wiki's etc.? Why does the LDS Church have such a unique passionate zeal for all things genealogical? Among other things it must cost them a small fortune (and thousands of hours of time) to make all these things happen! Some vendors and participants were wary from the 4 days of intense inspiration and yearned for the 2 day conference. I noticed they were locals and didn't have to come in from California as I did!
The Southern California Genealogy Jamboree was just the right length for me, but I only had to drive half as far to get there. What do you think? Oh, the common ancestral research dilemma—inability to find what you seek. In order to reach your objective of finding origins across the water, you’ll usually need to first build the foundation in North American records.
This is our mission & vision: Since 1979, Lynell & I, Karl-Michael Sala, have found thousands of data, documents & images for thousands of ancestral family members for hundreds of clients!

We were the very first two persons selected for the short-lived—but highly successful—Paid Expert Ancestry Research Line! Why? Because we usually found in just a few minutes data, documents & images that subscribers had been trying to find for the last 3 decades!

There is no charge for our initial research consultation. It is what we often do for others trying to find their European origins. Doing an initial free search (& usually a find) is how we share our talents with others.

We wish we could do everyone’s research for free, but this is just not economically feasible. So, if others cannot find their ancestors in online databases & image-bases—but know they are there (somewhere)—please call to discuss your case, but also email us full details.

As a service & a marketing test, we will offer an initial complimentary consultation & often a finding.

There is more research to be done; however, there are no guarantees. That said, we have a 99% success ratio in locating new data, documents & images our clients did not have! If you like what you see & would like to get more, we'd like to now personally & professionally serve you by providing actual DIGITAL data, documents & images & more.

If you or any others would like cost-effective USA, Immigration or European research service, that will save you effort, time & money, please call & email me--a proven, 3-decade international ancestral genealogist.

If you'd like to see a copy of a stunning report for a client, that includes DIGITAL images of census, immigration (NY Passenger List), emigration (Hamburg Passenger List), & actual parish register entries from Tirschtiegel, Posen, Preussen (now Trzciel, Poznan, Poland) that are translated? That can be viewed by clicking on a link found on my GW Group: The German Genealogist. Yes, I can do much more than German. Call & email me all details on one target ancestor, spouse, children, parents, places of residence, i.e., whatever is known on that target ancestor:
The laborer in your ancestral vineyard will be proven worthy of his hire!
Want free research or income? Spread the word, provide me with their email address &, if known, a phone # to earn 10% on your referrals. I will personally offer them an initial complimentary consultation.
A stunning report for a client is attached below. Why is it stunning? It has embedded data, documents & images of census, immigration & emigration & parish records (both from the Family Search Pilot program & from microfilm)! The ancestral lineage was successfully documented in the USA, across the water (immigration into NY & emigration out of Hamburg Passenger Lists) & into the Old World! It was a place now called Trzciel, Poznan, Poland, but was then known as Tirschtiegel, Posen, Preussen (Prussia)!
Hi-
I notice that the Glocester Land Records are on microfilm, if I know the exact date of the deed according to a genealogy book on my family, is there a way to find it through the library catalog?
I've used the search much more than the catalog, so I'm not as familiar with it.

thank you!
