Hope everyone's doing well. I'm headed to Kentucky Archives next Friday as well as Estill County. Going to be up there 5 days. Hopefully I can find some good stuff to bring home. Anyone need pictures from graveyards?

If it were only that lucky! There's a few that have still got me stumped. Maybe I can use the cane as a divining rod?

The trip got postponed, but we're going next week. I'm retaking some photos, but mainly to go to places unknown.

Let me know if you can't create a discussion for your own family surnames. This isn't just for a few people. This is for all people with Estill County roots. :)

Knowing your luck Jen when your cane sinks into a grave you'll look at the stone and scream "So this is where your buried !!". Are you hitting some known places or looking for the unknown when you go ?

Ever notice how genealogy is like playing Go Fish?

Headed up to Kentucky in two weeks for a cemetery trip - Some of Madison County, some of Lee, some of Owsley, some of Jackson, but mainly Estill County south of the river. Let's hope my cane doesn't sink down in a grave and I tip over!! :D

I'm a descendent of George Sparks and Elizabeth Wells. Elizabeth was George's first wife. If my information is right, Isaac Sparks, Jr and George were brother.

Mary Jane Sparks & Woodson Horn are my husband's great grandparents. I am a descendent of Isaac Sparks Jr., Joseph Sparks, Elijah (Lige) Sparks, Willie Green Sparks, Ola Mae Sparks and then me, Gladys White Davis. (I don't think I have left anyone out.)
