Moses Estep / Eastep and Elizabeth Jones Family of NC and AL

Moses EASTEP / ESTEP was born 1774-84 in Rowan Co., NC and died after the 1860 Lauderdale Co., AL census. He married 1 Sep 1803 in Rowan Co., NC to Elizabeth JONES, daughter of Solomon JONES and Elizabeth _____. She was born 1773-74 in NC or PA and died after the 1860 Lauderdale Co., AL census. Their known and possible children were: Eliza CARLISLE (possible daughter), Margaret PAYNE, Ruth "Ritty" MIZE, Rachel BAITY, Solomon?, James, Thomas, N. Isaac, Abraham, Debra?, Solomon? (born after the death of the older Solomon) and John.

Moses was paid for the upkeep of his mother Rebeckah Estep in Rowan Co., NC. Thomas Estep, Jr. had a (daughter) Rebecca Estep in his will and I have not been able to find a marriage record for Rebecca if she married an Estep or if she was an unwed mother. Rebeckah and her son Moses apparently lived with Thomas Estep, Jr. until Thomas' death. If any one has more on Rebeckah / Rebecca Estep, I'd love to know about it. I descend from Abraham EASTEP who left for east Texas late 1840s. His first wife was Ann WALLAS / WALLACE / WALLIS. By the time they settled in Texas, their surname was spelled as Eastep and is still today.
