My great-grandparents came from Grinstad to Indiana, USA about 1870 and later moved to Cass Co., Nebraska. His name was Anders Johan Jonasson (born 29 Jan 1841) but changed it to Hammarlof and eventually to Hamlow. She was Christine Andersdotter (born 15 Aug 1843) from Langerud.

Anders (Andrew) had a twin brother Josef and I would like to know if he stayed in Sweden or came to the US. He may have died young. They had an uncle, Mathias Jonasson, who also used the name Hammarlöf and stayed in Sweden. In Mellerud several years ago, I was told that there were still Hammarlöfs in the area. I would like to know if they are related and to make contact with them if they are. I have posted this tree online at ancestry.com (US version) under the name "Hamlow Anderson Schlaphoff Luetchens."
