Crewe with an "e" on the end is definitely UK. It was passed down through slavery to Africans so could be found in England. People living in Jamaica were ruled by the English for a long time so looking for plantation owners or google searching the name in connection with the UK might bring up some interesting information on the Crewe name.

I don't know a lot about it but I do know that other last names usually ending in a consonant have a vowel "e" added to the last name which is English. I hope this helps all who are searching.
