As I understand it ....

Mr. William Dunlea, and his wife, Mary Foley, and their three sons, John, Michael, and William emigrated from Country Cork to the Massachusetts in 1861. They were stone workers, and settled in Rockport, Mass.

John Dunlea (b 1838 or 1841) married Margaret Boyle (b 1840) in Boston, in 1865.

Margaret Boyle is also from County Cork, and she also may have emigrated in 1861. I do not know if she emigrated with the Dunlea family, or not. Margaret is the daughter of Michael Boyle and Mary Shay.

John and Margaret had eight daughters while living in Rockport, Mass. The surname is seen with different spellings; Dunlea, Dunley, and Dunlay. I believe the settled spelling for the name is Dunlea.

I would love to learn more about the Dunlea's emigration, and earlier, including their time in County Cork.

Thanks,
Mike
