Peter,I checked as much as I could but never found any mention of either. But that would not be unusual because after the death of Terry(Dec.08,1861 in Ky.) parts of the 8th were under the command of 2-3 different brigades for the rest of the war. So actually trying to locate is very hard. Sorry I couldn't help more !

I'm doing research on the Fiesels who were in the 8th Tx Cavalry (Terry's Tx Rangers) There were two who were buglers. Any info would be appreciated

I'm looking for information on the 1st Tenn. Light Artillery (Scott's) There was an articifer named A.G. Comstock in this unit. This might be an ancestor but there are only 2 cards in his service record. If this man was born in Massachusetts in 1837 then I have a match!

My great great grandfather, William Staines (Often spelled "Stines" "Steines" etc) was a private in Company C of the 26th Texas Cavalry. He was killed by accident on July 22, 1864 in Louisiana. His service record doesn't reveal where or how he died. I'd like to find this and hopefully find some letters where he might be mentioned. His widow, Anna Maria Smith re-married in 1870 to Frederick Alexander Wolfean, a veteran of the 1st Texas Heavy Artillery Co, B and later transferred to the Texas Marine Dept. where he was a blockade runner. They divorced in 1890 and Anna never applied for a pension or benefits. Wolfean died in 1905 in Galveston. Anna died in 1901.

I am looking for any information on the following four brothers who fought with Co I 16th Texas Inf...William Ray, Jabez Ray, Bennett Ray, and Charlse Ray...they were from Fayette Co, TX...thanks!

Sorry, the marriage date should be 25 Dec 1852, Gilies Co, Tn. He did seem to travel between Tn and AL a LOT

I am looking for any information on Henry M C Abernathy and when or if he was in the Civil WAR. Henry M C Abernathy was born 1832 in Giles Co, Tn. He married Alicy Caroline Graves 24 Dec 1852 Giles Co, Al. Among thier childern was Robert C Abernathy born Aug 1854 Colbert Co, Al. Henry at some point was a ministher of the Gospel, Church of Christ. Places I know he has lived Giles Co., Tn, Limestone Co, Al, Colbert Co, Al , POSSABLY Greene Co, AL but not proven. I have yet to find him in the 1860 cenus. He most likey died between 1880 after the cenus and before 1900 cenus I need help thank you
