Purpose

For everyone who loves the Civil War or has CSA ancestors. Lets help each other with research.
------
For Texas Researchers:
Texas Adjutant General's Department:
An Introduction to Military Rolls at the Texas State Archives, 1835-1915, 1917, 1935, undated

Civil War military rolls, 1860-1865, 54.06 cubic ft. (two series)
"Confederate" military rolls, 1861-1865, 52.76 cubic ft.

------
Looking for CSA Records but can't find them yourself? I used The Confederate War Department and while it isn't a free service, they found what I could not.

Jammie, having done a bit of genealogy it has been my experience( & few others) that stories pasted down in family lore usually get altered each time there told.:)

looking for a John Taylor (JT) Whittiker who would have been only 12 but was a tall man and may have lied about his age. Story that has been told he was in the army (confederate) and had been captured and was in a building and asked to put another log on the fire but instead knocked the door down and ran away. he was supposed to be in Texas or Arkansas

Do you have skills in general construction for grounds & trail work? Or specialized skills in carpentry, electrical installation, masonry, painting, or plastering? Are you a gardener? Or do you do living history impressions?

Help bring Fort Delaware State Park back to life. The Fort Delaware Society is recruiting a Volunteer Brigade that will use your skills and abilities to make a difference at this landmark historic site. If you are interested in volunteering and/or have any questions about planned projects that need your assistance, please contact Society Board Member Jayne McCormick by e-mail at volunteers@fortdelaware.org or bitsobluengray@aol.com

Footnote.com has begun adding additional information on Confederate soldiers which, for one reason or another, was not included in original service files. This update is only 3% complete at this time. This info could prove interesting.
