My Hubert Charles MARTIN, single, occupation carver, emigrated to Canada from Frome, Somerset, England on 3 May 1907. Port of departure was Glasgow, Scotland on the Cassandra and embarkation some 24 days later in Montreal/Quebec. There is a potential sighting of him in a border crossing from Canada to the US (Port Huron, Michigan)for Sep 1907. There is a further border crossing for 24 May 1916 to Detroit. Such border crossings  may be an indication it is my ancestor since his aunt lived in Dakota. I have been unable to find him in the 1911 Canada Census but am lead to believe by a distant family member in the US that he died in 1952 in Saskatoon. Any help in learning more of this ancestor would be appreciated.

Certain Canada Records are available till July 2 on Ancestry.ca.  I personally didn't find much, but what I did find was pretty good.

@William ... sorry for the delay in answering. Unfortunately, there is no direct contact ... only thru Ancestry.

@William ... on ancestry.ca there is a family tree with George & Ellen Lapeer http://trees.ancestry.ca/tree/2320363/person/1653645706

William born 1837 in Uxbridge - died Mar 1914 in Cass City. His father is Joseph ... no mother name noted. Ellen Lot is his wife - she was born Aug 1840 - died Dec 1915 in Cass City. They had 11 children. Let me know if  you need more information from this record.

I am very excited to see  the "Circumstances of Death" War documents from WW2 are almost all available online @ http://www.collectionscanada.gc.ca/microform-digitization/006003-11... - they have them in alphabetical order up until "Sims, William - Private"

I'll have to keep waiting for "Sinnett" but I'm so very excited to look through some of these documents!

Hi:  I am looking for any information regarding a Marion Burrows Wheeler.  She supposedly lived on a farm near Teulon, Manitoba, Canada in the latter years of 1900.  Her farm supposedly burned down and afterwards, she suffered a nervous breakdown and was institutionalized and died in Canada.  Her maiden name was Marion Burrows and married a Julian G. Wheeler.  I've been looking for any record for this woman and have come up empty handed.  Thanks so much for any tips or information you can give me.  If you are close to where the vital records are kept and can find something, I would be so appreciative.

Thank You, Carolyn Benjamin
