Comment by Rosemary Harris on August 8, 2011 at 5:53pm: It is with immense sadnes that I read of the death of Margaret who I have been in contact with for about 6 years. My husband and I were fortunate to meet Margaret and Brian in 2007 at their home in Tilehurst where we spent a very pleasant morning discussing the Breadmores and our own connections.

Margaret was a lovely lady with a passion for genealogy, who will be greatly missed by all who new her.

Our deepest sympathy to Andrew and Brian

Comment by Donald James BRADMORE on August 11, 2009 at 6:20pm: Hi Margaret Thanks for this! I'd love to be able to add a Bradmore grave from the early days in Australia but haven't found one yet! Convict George Breadmore (Chapman, 1825) and his immediate Bradmore descendants all seem to have been too poor for headstones! I've located quite a number of their burial sites but their graves are unmarked. If anyone has any other information, please let me know.

George BREADMAN was sentenced to death in 1819 but was transported to New South Wales where he died on arrival.
John BREADMAN married Hester BROWN in 1762 - who was he?

Comment by Donald James BRADMORE on July 22, 2009 at 5:49pm: I'm researching my gggrandfather George BREADMORE (c.1803-1882) and his descendants in Australia. In 1825, George was convicted of burglary at Hungerford, Berks., England, and sentenced to transportation for life to Van Diemen';s Land (Tasmania). He arrived in Hobart in 1826. In 1838 he married Elizabeth FARRELL, a free settler from Devon, England. Any information will be gratefully received.
