Hello, so happy to see Blankenship Group. I am searching for Blankenships that are related to Blanton, Hall, Greer, and Stankavich families, thanks AM

Rubie,

I don't know anything about the Indian heritage.

We would be at best very distant cousins (6th, 7th, or 8th cousins).  And that would only be if George W was the son of Stanton Blankenship.  Stanton had several sons that have not been identified yet (based on the 1810-1840 censuses).  Check out Stanton's page at http://www.vadenfrc.ancestryhost.org/getperson.php?personID=I00309&....

At this time, I would have to say there is a slight change we are related, but there is no way to show how.

Thank you  Charlie

That is way more information than I have :)      Do you know anything about the Indian heritage  that we have through the Blankenship side of the family?  I have Milford's death certificate but haven't found any for the others yet.  Are you my first cousin?  How are we related to each other?  I am interested in learning as much as I can about our family heritage.  :)    Lizzie Florence told me in 1961  when I was 11 yrs old that she has an Indian Roll number  but I still haven't found it.  At that time she thought that I would not be able to keep up with it because I was a child.

Rubie,

Since I don't know what you have, I will post what I find.  The following is from the Blankenship-Lossing Family Website.

This is info on George with Robert A and Lizzie listed.

Rubie,

I do go to Ancestry.com.  I will do some digging to see if I can find anything.  My wife's g-g-g-grandmother was a Blankenship (Mickey Austin Blankenship (daughter of Stanton Blankenship and Susannah Perdue) who married Delaney Dodson Vaden).
