Looking for parents of Lydia "Belinda" Berry, b. Colchester, CT 1792. Sister Lida Berry, b. 1794, both sisters married Gilletts. Possible father Joseph Berry, present in 1790 and 1800 Colchester fed census. There were Berrys in Kent county, CT but I have no proof of any connection.

I would invite any of you Berry surnamed males to explore another avenue of research by taking a look at the Berry Family DNA Project.

Each male has a unique 'family' Y-DNA.  That is, your Y-DNA is essentially the same as your father's, his father's and each male Berry back on up the line.  In addition, each of their sons and son's sons, etc. will have the same Y-DNA.  Thus, if you test your Y-DNA and yours matches another's, he's at least a genetic cousin and sometimes may have helpful information to your research since you will have had a common ancestor at some point in the past.

I'm trying to locate info on a Millard Fillmore Berry Sr. of Morgan City, Louisiana. He was born 10/24/1854 and his wife Lydia Caroline Written dies soon after giving birth to my grandfather Charles Otto Berry Sr. He was raised by an uncle who was a Bigler. My major question is finding out who Millard's father was. I have no name for him and the only info I may have is that he may have been from PA.

If anyone can help, please contact me at: oberry@cableone.net

I can't move on without this information.

I am researching John W. Berry in Ohio. He was born in Hampshire County W.V. In 1823 andied in Hamilton Ohio in 1900. It says on his cemetery paper that his father was G. Berry an mother as S. Berry. I think his father may have been George but not sure. If anyone is working this line of Berrys i would lovr to hear from you. Jim

I am descended from Sarah (Sally) Berry, b. 5 Dec 1776 in Machias, Maine, to Westbrook Berry and Jane Freeman. The line continues back to Westbrook's father Elisha Berry to Joseph Berry II to Joseph Berry to William Berry, b.c. 1613, England, immigrated to New Hampshire 1631. Sarah/Sally married Joseph Getchell III and was my 4G-grandmother.

Hi Everyone! I'm very distantly related to the Berry family - my great uncle was Tom Berry, born in Poplar, London, UK. He was the Light Heavyweight Boxing Champion of the British Empire from 1925 to 1927:
