Hi all,
My name is Jen Barnett. I live in RI, USA. I have traced husband's line back to Hilperton, Wiltshire, England. Robert Barnett b.1791 Steeple Aston, Wiltshire
m: Jane Swain on June 06, 1813 source Wiltshire Records research in Chippenham. They had 3 sons Mark Luke and Giles and a daughter Jane Barnett Allen. Robert Had a brother James b. 1793 Steeple Ashton. I have all their information I need to find the parents of Robert and James and also find anything on the Swain/Swayn family in that time period.

Gwen, my James Barnett supposedly born in Virginia died in Caldwell County, KY. I know that James was a very popular name with so many families!

My line of the Barnetts begins with my grandmother, Jessie Matilda Barnett. Her parents were George Franklin Barnett and Florence Arzillia Crouch. Been able to go back to James Barnett with the help of Yvonne Curry who has been so helpful.

I am happy to contribute and join with other Barnett researchers. My brick wall is Joseph Richard Barnett born about 1827 in Tennessee. He married Margaret Adeline Smith in 1849 in McMinn County, Tennssee. They both died in Newton County, Missouri but one of their children was born in Illinois during the Civil War.

Conveniently, Mary’s brother married Elijah’s sister, so we also have Mary Susan Tillery and John Briggs Barnett in our tree. Ella Elizabeth Cope; his father was Columbus Dugan Barnett (1965 - 1942) m. Rhoda Tinne Hutchinson; his father was Sheroad William Barnett (1936 - 1928), m. Tibithi Jane Hyden; his father was John Barnett (1794 - 1850) m. Mary Martin; his father was William Graves Barnett (1765 - 1863), m. Judith Thomason; his father was Thomas Barnett (1725 - 1780) m. Sarah Croshaw Graves; his father was John Barnett (1689 - 1756), m. Katherine Farrar; his father was William Barnett (b. bef 1650) m. Anna Rolfe. Please contact me if you believe you are connected.

My grandmother, Charlotte Marzelle Barnett, was born in Weatherford, Parker, Texas. Her parents were Charles Wilkerson Barnett and Verda Mae Baker. This Barnett family settled in Parker County, Texas about 1857. Prior to that they were in Limestone Co., Texas, Hardeman Co., Tennessee, and Caldwell Co., Kentucky. The end of the line so far is James Barnett who died 1816 - 1817 in Caldwell Co., Kentucky. Most of his children were reportedly born in South Carolina,

My mom was a Barnett. Here dad was Arthur Barnett. They lived in Norton, MA. I am still trying to get more information on them and will see if anything I turn up will help.
