The Idea Lobby

Give Me a Receipt Next Time I Pay Taxes

If Americans saw exactly how their specific tax dollars were being allocated, would it change the substance or tenor of discussions on, say, the debt ceiling?

what do you think of this?

sorry I did not see any discussion or any members, so my request was not really serious, now I see it is a serious forum so would be happy to delete this shortly!

If you have been thinking about getting a geneaology DNA test now is a good time to do it. Join the Badger Y-DNA Project at FTDNA.com now and get special pricing. I recommend at least the 37 marker test. Go to http://www.familytreedna.com/group-join.aspx?&group=Badg... to order.

A summer special again this year:

• Y-DNA37 for $119 (Regular price would be $149)
• Y-DNA67 for $199 (Regular price would be $239)
• Family Finder for $199 (Regular price would be $289)
• Family Finder + Y-DNA37 for $318 (Regular price would be $438)
• Family Finder + mtDNAPlus for $318 (Regular Price would be $438)
• mtDNA Full Sequence for $219 (Regular Price would be $299)
• SuperDNA for $418 (Regular Price would be $518, includes Y-DNA67 and mtFullSequence)
• Comprehensive Genome for $617 (Regular Price would be $797, includes Y-DNA67, mtFullSequence and Family Finder)
In addition, existing Family Tree DNA customers may order the Family Finder add-on for $199
The promotion will start today, Friday the 15th at 6PM CST and will end Thursday, July 21, 11:59PM CST. Kits need to be paid for by the end of the promotion.

I have a Badger Y-DNA project at http://www.familytreedna.com/public/badger/default.aspx. There are some good discounts on DNA tests in July.

I am interested in the descendants of the Badgers of Petersburg, Virginia, and descendants of Joseph Badger, the colonial Boston portrait artist, especially those who went to Charleston, South Carolina.

I have no actual family connexion, but I do know a fair amount about the Badgers in Bucks and adajacent Oxfordshire, also the Wildsmith Badger line of parish clerks in Bucks and Worcs. Might be useful for somebody/
