I am researching vonAllmens/von Allmens from Bern, Switzerland. My branch dropped the 'von' when they came to America and went by Allmen and Allman. They settled first in Olney, Richland, Illinois and later Evansville, Vanderburgh, Indiana.

I am interested in any descendants of Louisa Cooke and Henry Dowling ALLMAN who married in Camberwell, Surrey in 1864. They had a son Henry Francis Allman born in Calcutta, India in 1868. He (the son) and Louisa were on the 1881 census but I have found no further trace of any of them after that date. I'd be grateful for any information.
