Any Irish Allens here? Mine are from County Carlow, Ireland, emigrated to the USA in the late 1800s. Landed in Rochester, New York.

Hiya. I have several Allen lines.

Mary Allen, daughter of John Allen and Mary Andros Pike, born in 1681 in Salisbury, Mass. She married John Merrill in 1674. Her grandfather, William Allen, arrived from Yarmouth, England in the early 1630's.

Mary Ann Allen, daughter of David Allen and Hester Saxon, born in 1702 in Virginia. She married William Jennings sr around 1721.

Mary Allen (yeah I know. Seems to be a common first name *lol*), daughter of Judah Allen and Mary Woolley. Born in 1674 in Burlington, New Jersey. Her husband was Thomas French. Her grandfather, George Allen, came to America um.. sometime before 1657.

Meriam Allen, daughter of Ralph Allen and Margaret Denn. Born in 1712 in Shrewsbury, New Jersey. Her husband was Robert Tilton. Meriam's great-great grandfather was John Howland of the Mayflower.

My 2nd great-grandfather, John Allen, was born in County Carlow. His wife was Anna Breen born in County Wexford. Three sons and four daughters emigrated to Rochester, NY in the late 1800s. At least thyree more daughters stayed behind and married. Anyone tie in?

My Allens are in Hertfordshire in the 19th century, in Hemel Hempstead area. Brickmakers mostly. They had a connection to Winkwell and an inn there that still exists (the Three Horseshoes Pub).

I am researching the Allen line from John Allen from Brittas Bay, Wicklow, Ireland who immigrated in 1845 to Goderich, Huron, Ontario, Canada to his son Frank/Francis who immigrated in 1862 to United States and settled in Little Suamico, Oconto, Wisconsin.

Hello,

The Allens in my tree are from about 1630 in Plymouth Colony MA, and particularly the Town of Sandwich. At around 1650 they all became Quakers and caused quite a ruckus in the little town. Eventually the younger ones left for places more friendly to them, such as New Jersey and New York.

I have studied several Allen families of this time period in trying to sort out which ones were mine. It's a very difficult task, but I have managed a lot of it, and if anyone needs any help with this era of Allens please feel free to ask.

Hello!

I have records (some verified, most not) on my Allen ancestors going back to the 1730's in the Boston/Braintree area of Massachusetts. From there, my ancestors moved into other areas of MA and on up into Maine and down to New York and New Jersey. I'm happy to share, although I do admit that I don't usually respond to my personal email as quickly as I should.

By the way, I'm looking for anyone who has information about Micah Allen, b. abt 1735 in MA and apparently married 3 times: Charity White (1759), Hannah Cushing (1763), Hannah Ford (1790). He and his wives produced about 12 children and he died abt 1812. Micah's father, also named Micah died around 1779 and may have been married to Mary White/Pearson.

Thanks!
