Reverend Robert and Martha Sarah (Cathey) Allen

My Allen line comes from Ireland. Rev. Robert Allen (my sixth great grandfather) was b. 1695 in County Armagh, Ireland and d. Aug 1769 in Winchester, Frederick, Virginia. In 1744 he m. Martha Sarah Cathey in Frederick Co., Virginia. Martha was b. 1701 in Antrim, Ulster, Ireland and d. 1766 in Frederick Co., Virginia. They had a son Benjamin who was b. 1745 in Winchester, Frederick, Virginia. He d. 23 Jan 1826 in Liberty, Casey, Kentucky. In 1770 he m. Margaret Green Wahaub (there have been numerous different spellings of her last name). Margaret was b. abt 1771 in Frederick Co. Virginia. They had 10 children: Robert Mark, John Jack "The Bricklayer", Sarah Wohoad "Sally", James Green, Thomas (my fourth great grandfather), Martha, Margaret "Peggy", Samuel, William D. and Elizabeth "Betsy".
