Book: Robert Allen 1695-1769 ... his descendants and allied families

Hi,
I have the Allens of Casey Co. KY tree on Ancestry and would love to be able to pin down some more information on Robert Allen's parents or siblings. There's way too many Roberts in the line to keep straight, plus there's a lot of other-lineaged Allens in that area too. I have most of the history books on pdf but don't tell enough about any brothers or parents. The one story from the Historical Families of Kentucky has family members dying and/or coming over at the wrong time. Any clarity would be super!

Howdy cousin Ethan,
Pardon my delay in getting back with you.

Unfortunately the "Robert Allen" book does not talk about Robert's parents. It states that he had at least one brother - John. There is speculation that there was an older brother named James, but no proof found. Both John and Robert came to American in 1736 from their native County Armagh, Northern Ireland. I would love to correspond further with you about the Allen family.

Thank you for doing this.  I am looking for a Jacob Christian Allen born in New Jersey about 1795.  He moved to PA by 1816.  Any help would greatly be appreciated!

Sorry, the book makes no mention of a Jacob Christian Allen.  Good luck with your research.

I am trying to research the ALLEN family. I was wondering if your book has any information on the John ALLEN family that lived in Ballycraigy (there are a few different ways of spelling it), Larne, County Antrim, Ireland. The family was

John Allen and his wife Mary (I don't know her maiden name), they were married in 1833.

Their children were:

Patrick (Patt), born 1835

Ann, born 1837

Margaret, born 1839

John, born 1841

I am new to the genealogy searching. As best I can tell we are descendents of Robert Allen. I just emailed the authors cousin and got a reply saying he has this book. Any idea what the ISBN is for it? Thanks Carla

The book doesn't have an ISBN.
