New to this group and not sure if I have any kin in Ga. now. But most of my ancestry came from Ga.. My first know there was John D. Jordan(b.-in S.C.) in Baker Co.,Ga. abt.early to mid 1800's. (1) married Mary E. Pelhem in S.C. but arter her death married (2) Elizabeth DeWitt in Baker Co. abt. 1840. John died in Baker Co. in 1845 and most of family came to Texas. His son,David M. Jordan born in Baker Co.,is my grt-grt-grt-grdfather. I would be glad to share any info I have on this Jordan line or any name connected to it.
