I am seeking information on the surname of Sloan in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. The family were African American, and I am seeking the father of a Beverly Sloan b. 1943 in Pittsburgh. They would have been in the area from about 1920 - 1980.

Thanks for the information. I am actually doing this for a friend. She was born in 1943, in Pittsburgh. Her father was a member of the Steel Workers Union 11, and all she has given me is the surname of Sloan. I know he was African American and a member of the NAACP in Pittsburgh. He was married, but I also do not know the mothers name. I have asked her for the father and mothers first name, and am waiting for a response.

Hello,
My GG Uncle was George Alexader SLOAN, Sr. His family migrated from Tulip, Arkansas to Pittsburg in the 1920s. I don't have a Beverly Sloan, but maybe the are connected.
