hi, i am related to the giles abbott who came out on the buffalo in 1836. my great-great-granfather was thomas giles abbott haynes; his mother was ann abbott and she married thomas haynes and lived at middleton. young thomas travelled to orroroo and married elizabeth knight.

G'day one and all!!
My ABBOTT's came to South Australia onboard the "JOHN RENWICK" in 1837. Giles ABBOTT and Hannah FROST were my 5x gr grandparents. Their first son William was my 4x gr grandfather. Their second son Giles, was the first to SA onboard the "BUFFALO" in 1836 along with the new Governor of SA, John Hindmarsh and his family.
