I'm twice descended from Rev. John Robinson who was the pastor to the pilgrims! He wa born 1576 in Sturton, Nottinghamshire, England and died on 1 Mar 1625/6 in Leyden, Holland before he could join his flock in Plymouth, Massachusetts. He is buried under St. Peterskirk in Leyden, with the children, parents and spouses of the Pilgrims who died before they could come to the New World.

Thanks Pam. It's the same Robinson line that you mentioned on 7/15 except my part of the family stayed in Jersey, yours went west.

You are correct that John Robinson's wife was named Catherine, but I don't know her surname. They came over in 1685 and embarked in Chester, PA.

Thanks, Pam! Should be too hard. There are lots of Robinson descendants...I just don't know how many from my line are here, though. I see there's only four of us, so far. Could be a long wait.

I'm researching the line of George Robinson, b. 1639 in Boston, Massachusetts. He married Mary Bushnell and their son George settled in Needham, Massachusetts. Connected to my Robinsons are the REED, LEARNED, MOORE and BATES families.

My Robinson line came out of Salem Co.,NJ. in the 1700's. The oldest person I have,so far,is John Robinson,Sr. who died in 1734. His wife was Catherine ?, Does anyone know what Catherine's surname was?The line went West to Knox Co.,IN. where they stayed.Rebecca Robinson born circa 1820 in Salem Co.,NJ. the daughter of Benjamin Oliger Robinson & his 3rd wife Ann Finley married William Pennington circa 1840 in Knox Co.,IN.
