I'm searching for my Mother's family, I have tried everything possible to locate them or any records, all were negative. My Mother was born in Los Mochis,Sinaloa,Mx on March 16th, 1904, her name was changed when she immigrated, so that's my problem. Possible names: MARIA HERIBERTA ALVARADO OR HERIBERTA ALVARADO, her Mother my Grandmother: FLORENTINA O JUANA ALVARADO (married name), she died in Los Mochis,Sin, around 1908, after her death her Father my Grandfather: RAPHAEL OR RAFAEL MANUEL ALVARADO, married ROSENDA ALGONDA, this did not sit well with my Grandmother Florentina's family, moved about 750 miles to the area of MILPITAS/EL QUEMADO,SIN, last contact with them was around 1958. My Mother was registered in Sinaloa around 1909,this is mandatory, but I can not locate any records because of the problem with the SURNAMES. I have traveled down to Sinaloa twice, written letters to everyone, but no luck. I tried LDS and all the other internet sites, put messages on all kinds of boards but to this date no one has been able to help me. Any ideas?

I've added another 100+ to my Family Tree today. I have 18 generations and 2.000+ individuals. Connie Alvarez and I will be attending a genealogy convention in the San Francisco Bay Area this weekend.

Again I looked up marriages/baptisms at the San Jose LDS Family Research Center and found about another 100 ancestors from the 1740s-1790s in Colotlan, Mexico.
Again Connie Alvarez assisted me in my research.

That film lookup from 17 Nov has produced an additional 90+ ancestors! After verifying the marriages, I was able to find their children in the baptisimal film Gedcom files!. Plus the records also showed their parents and i was able to find their parents' marriage dates plus other siblings. I call this the "Flip-Flop" genealogy research technique!

I went to the San Jose, Ca. LDS Family Research Center this week and found 30+ more ancestors from the years 1792-1819 marriage records of Colotlan, Jalisco, MX. Connie Alvarez helped me with my research!
