I am researching Harriet Hinkle born 26 Jan 1828 in possibly Lumpkin County Georgia She married Thomas Columbus Stringer on 22 Sep 1853 in Lumpkin County, Georgia. I believe that her parents are John Hinkle (1774-?) and Sarah Weaver (1779-1860), but have not been able to find proof of that. I have found record of land sold by the sheriff that was owned by John Hinkle in Hall county, Georgia, and also a power of attorney given to a Elijah Hinkle (thought to be a son) by John Hinkle to sell land in Wayne county, Georgia. This was located in Habersham county, Georgia deed book. I can find no other records left by John Hinkle. I have looked in Hall, Habersham, and Lumpkin counties for records of wills. The only records I have found are the 2 deeds mentioned above. Is anyone else researching these families?

My 4xgreat-grandmother was Elizabeth Hinkle from Frederick Co.,MD. born 1762 the daughter of George Hinkle,Sr. & Achsah Plummer. Elizabeth married William Drake,Sr. 17 Oct.1780 in Frederick Co.,MD. Anybody related to these people?
