Higgins is one big line of people. No idea if or where all are from.  Some interesting comments here.   I have tenatively identified Richard Higgins line whom ma Mary SNow though at marriage she was previously married before Richard.  father Edward 1545-1649, Leominster,  Hereford, England    father John Higgins to John ?? b 1528 Bridstone UK

my father Aidan Higgins was born in Kildare in 1929. he had 3 brothers; Brendan, Coleman and Desmond (ABCD!). his father was Bartholemew Joseph and his mother Lillian. any one got a connection?

Elizabeth, Nancy's brother George D. was my gg grandfather born in 1840. He moved to Iowa with his wife Jenetta and children Guy Brainerd and Floyd Schoff. They then moved to Missouri and that is where he is buried. However, he died in Michigan and his death certificate lists his parents birth as New York. His mother's name was Jane Hardenberg. I have been unable to find anything about either Walter or Jane's parents. Do you have the names of Walter's parents?

I would appreciate any information that you have.

Hi everyone!

My ggg grandmother Nancy Higgins b 1845 in New York. Her father was named Walter S Higgins b 1815 in New York. I'm not clearly sure where they were born in New York, but I assume it was in the Cayuga County area, which is where they lived throughout their lives, except for Nancy who later moved to Indianapolis for unknown reasons. She died there, but was brought back to Phoenix, New York to be buried, which is in Cayuga County.

Walter S Higgin's parents were listed as being from Vermont, but I haven't been able to find any names or information about them unfortunately...

I was Patricia HIGGINS before I married in 1959. I was born in Liverpool England. My Grandfather was JAMES HIGGINS from County Mayo Ireland. He emigrated to England prior to 1901 and married MARY ELLEN COMER (nee DONNELLY) at Prescot in 1902.
Their children were JAMES born 1902 died 1904, JOHN born 1903, FRANCES born 1905, PATRICK (my Dad) born 1908, JEFFREY born 1910, MARY born 1913, JAMES J born 1913 died 1913, & MICHAEL born 1916.
JAMES & MARY ELLEN HIGGINS moved from Prescot Lancashire about 1904 to Liverpool where MARY ELLEN died in 1923 and JAMES died in 1938.
My Grandfather JAMES's father was also JAMES HIGGINS and he was a Farmer in County Mayo as at 1902. Not sure who his wife (my G Grandmother) was.
I am currently looking at a Bridget Higgins from Kilmovee County Mayo on the 1911 Irish Census whose husband James died between 1901 and 1911. Think this may be her.

Hi Higgins I have just discovered Higgins Family Geanology site . It would be good if we all got together to compare notes dont you think? I am desperate to find my G.G.Grandparents and need all the help I can get. Jennifer.

My Higgins ancestors were from the Washington County area of Maryland. Do you know where your g-grandma was born? Not sure I can help. Good luck with your search!

Not sure about discussions yet but will add comment. I am looking for G .Grandma Margaret Higgins B Tipperary ? ? Came over to aust. in 1879 and M wm. carter, 1879. Her father was goerge and mother Elizabeth Sweett?? Any takers?
