Comment by Patricia Quinn on August 6, 2011 at 11:56pm Posting a long shot here - looking for descendants of a ROWE family who were located in the Creek Nation in Alabama in the early 1800's. This area became Talladega County. Three sons of this family ended up in Texas by 1855 - William P. born 1816; Abram C. born 1817; and Solomon J. born 1818. We don't know the father's name, but using an educated guess, we believe he was a John ROWE. No clue at all as to the mother's name.
This family changed the spelling from ROWE to ROE once they arrived in TX. If even a tiny bit of this sounds familiar, sure would like to hear!
