William Wallace Wilder - b. 1827 in Michigan,  arrived in Metamora Township in the mid 1800's.

  William fought in the Civil War, and was wounded at the Battle of Savage Station, dying 28 days later.

     Walter, (  b. 1857 ) and Rufus Wilder ( b. 1853 d. 1932 ) were born in Prince Edward County, Ontario, Canada.  Walter came to Michigan in 1878, began a carriage making business in Detroit for short time, then moved to Metamora and continued making carriages untle 1880.
