Ida Helen Smith

I am hoping to find more details of Ida Smith. my sister-in-law's mother. She was born in 1908 in Frome, her parents were Albert E Smith and Annie(nee Daniell?). She married Ernest Stanley Pearce in 1935. I have come to a stop and hope someone will be able to send me  links or more family members or others who have this family in their tree. Many thanks from   Anna

What do you want to look for next? In my honest opinion it is better to do original research for close ancestors in particular - parents, grandparents, great-grandparents etc. This will be especially true with a surname like SMITH.

I've looked on the FreeBMD website and Albert and Annie's marriage appears there, in the Frome registration district:

1897 Sept qtr - SMITH Albert Edward - Frome - 5c 781 (Annie DANIELL also listed on this page of the register)

If you apply online for the marriage certificate it will tell you the names and occupations of the fathers of Albert and Annie, as well as lots of other interesting info, I expect.

If you don't know who Albert and Annie's children were, the 1911 Census is available online - you can buy pay-as-you-go credits on Findmypast to view transcriptions or (more expensive) the images of the original returns.

Thanks Sean, I will probably go to the Daniell surname, as we have some already for Ernest Pearce. We have the childrens manes and dates, from the 1911 census, and the marriage certificate might be the next step. Thanks so much from Anna
