I use Ancestry.com.  I have developed many trees. The Altman Family Tree is quite large but I have not been able to find what port they arrived in and exactly what year.  My beginning is an uncle born in Des Moines, Iowa in 1883.  My father was next in 1888 in Omaha.  They then  moved to St. Louis, MO.  The Tree gives all the info for anyone interested as it is public.
