<p>I am Marcia Billington Williams. I have Ancestry.com. I am a descendant of Ezekiel Billington who fought in the American Revolution. His father James Billington came to Patterson, NJ in 1740 as a School Master. I am stuck in trying to find his father in England or the UK. I know of two areas that have or had Billingtons one near London and another on the west side of England. </p>

<p>Do you know where I can look for further information? One family tree on Ancestry shows a christening record of John as the possible father but since James and John are such common names I don't know for sure. </p>
<p>Maybe that is too far back to get definitive information.</p>
