I am researching the Sanguinette/Sanguinetti, Castagnino, and Canepa families. Based on ship records, I believe they are from the Liguria area. They left Italy through Genoa. According to family stories, Pietro Sanguinette was the son of Pierre Sanguenette who came to Northern Italy in 1789. I would love to know more of the history about the area. Pietro Sanguinette died from yellow fever shortly after arriving in the U.S. in 1853. Rosa Canepa Sanguinette married Stephan Castagnino in Missouri.…
