The search that I am doing is for siblings, and parents of Jeffrey Powell, married Mary Verry, Nov 09, 1813, in Aconbury, Herefordshire. It is my belief that Jeffrey may have been born and raised at Llywel, Breckonshire.

I have Powells, an Ann Powell 1803, my third great grandmother, married to an Edward Richards in Merthyr Tydfyl. I have nothing on her ancestry, anyone able to help?
It was interesting to read that Powell used to be Howell and before that Hywel. A lot of the males in my family descended from Ann and Edward were called Howell.

Im not sure about anything too much past my 3rd GGF Levi Powell. This is my BrickWall. The town that I have heard of in Wales is Breckonshire I beleive. And the "Castle Madoc" was owned by the Powells around the 11century, and the name would have been Hywel then.
Thanks

Were the Quaker Powells to Philadelphia were Welsh? I connect to them tangentially, being descended from a sibling each of mayors Joseph Wilcox & Samuel Rhoads.
