Holt Research

I am trying to reserarch Thomas Graham Holt.  He is My Great Grandfather. I have not been able to find anything about him prior to his death. I know he was born in Kentucky. He died on the Steamer Swan in Missouri. He was married to Artemissa Gholson and thier son is my grandfather William harrison Holt. I cant seem to find out who were the parents of thomas. I know his grandfather was peter as he was living with them in Illinois. But nothing in kentucky. could sure use some help.
